Start the end of your weekend at the free PRIDE Brunch on Sunday August 23rd from 9 am to noon at Oak Grove in Lower Bidwell Park located here. Donations accepted. So come on down and enjoy some fabulous food provided by the exquisite Leon Bistro with your fellow PRIDE peeps! All you coffee lovers need not fret! Six Degrees and Great State Coffee are providing enough coffee to fulfill all your caffeine desires (...maybe not all, we can't make that promise; but there will be coffee!). There will also be Jennifer Nomadia of Gypsy Mountain Face Painting, DJ Sexual Chocolate who will be playing R&B electric guitar, and tons of games for kids including corn hole! Variety Show - online ticket sales for Friday close noon 8/21
PRIDE Weekend kicks off Friday, August 21st with a Mini Merna Production, Natasha Root Photography will be photographing the PRIDE Variety Show with special guest entertainer Mahlae Balenciaga. Join us at the Chico Women’s Club for a night of entertainment and celebration. Doors open at 7 pm. Show starts at 8 pm. Open to ages 18+. Be sure to get there early! The Chico Women's Club is sure to be packed with tons of awesome and beautiful people, and seating is limited! There will be a bar
so those of age will be welcome to buy tickets and drink responsibly whilst
enjoying this once in a lifetime show! You've never known the true

Merna's PRIDE Variety Show! There is a suggested $10 advance/$15 at the
door donation. All funds go to help Stonewall Alliance continue their

Teen Dance
Friday night also features a FREE dance for teens, ages 13-18, from 6 pm to 9 pm. This year’s dance will be a 90’s-themed birthday party to celebrate Stonewall Alliance Center’s 25th anniversary! It’s a safe space for teens to connect, dance, and express themselves proudly. We are providing teens with drag appearances, a DJ, mocktail bar, food and snacks, a laser light show, activities, and MORE. Spread the word, this year’s teen dance is going to be the BEST YET!

Festival
On Saturday August 22nd, the PRIDE Festival will be held at the Downtown Chico City Plaza from 10am-4pm. The festival includes live bands and performances, speakers, vendors, food, dancing, and music. Hot tea and coffee will also be donated by the generous and wonderful Bidwell Perk! So come on down anytime that pleases you Saturday to check out the fun! There will be lots of fun music, booths, and performances that you simply CANNOT miss! This event is family friendly, there is no age limit on who can or cannot come so please... come one, come all! Riding your bike? PERFECT! There will be a FREE Bike Valet located on 5th street on the edge of the Downtown Plaza during the festival! No need to waste precious time searching for a parking spot where you can safely lock your bike up, just ride up and let our valets handle the rest!
