Stonewall Chico Pride is the largest LGBT*Q+ event between Sacramento and the Oregon border, and one of the biggest annual festivals in the Butte County area. It’s a celebration of diversity; uniting, strengthening and affirming the LGBT*Q+ Community and our allies. With 4 days packed full of events for all ages, interests, identities and walks of life, Chico Pride pulls in between 5,000 and 7,000 attendees each year.
Our Pride events take place all over Chico, including an enormous downtown festival in the city plaza, DJ’d dance nights for adults and for teens, a spectacular live performance showcase, a community kickback and afternoon music festival for the whole family , a QTPOC (Queer and trans* people of color) Pride night, an all-queer comedy show, and more.
Stonewall Chico Pride is planned by a team of around 20 volunteers, community partners and Stonewall staff, interns, and board members. It is chaired by Stonewall’s on-staff Event Coordinator, and hosted by Stonewall Alliance- Chico’s nonprofit LGBT*Q+ center.
All proceeds go toward funding Stonewall Alliance’s nonprofit programs including free and confidential HIV testing, low to no cost counseling, social and support groups, advocacy and training, and more.
